MK Stalin Writes To EPS Seeking Assembly Session Against Farm Laws

Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) president MK Stalin on Friday wrote a letter to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E Palaniswami, in search of a particular meeting session to carry decision towards Centre’s farm legal guidelines.

In his letter, the DMK chief stated that with Tamil Nadu being the primary state to waive off loans to farmers and supply electrical energy, it’s time for the state to unite and stand with them.

“A passage of the decision should be introduced within the Tamil Nadu Meeting towards the three farm legal guidelines of the Centre. For that the Meeting should be convened instantly,” Mr Stalin wrote.

“As Tamil Nadu the primary state to waive loans to farmers and supply free electrical energy, it’s crucial that Tamil Nadu, at this vital juncture for farmers, unite with none distinction, stand by their facet and demand that their calls for be met,” he added.

The DMK chief talked about that Kerala too handed a decision towards the farm legal guidelines yesterday. “After Punjab, Kerala too handed a decision within the state Meeting calling for repeal of three farm legal guidelines,” he wrote.

Earlier on December 18, DMK and its allies had noticed a one-day quick in Chennai in help of farmers protesting towards the three farm legal guidelines.

Farmers have been protesting at completely different borders of the nationwide capital since November 26 towards the newly enacted farm legal guidelines – Farmers’ Produce Commerce and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, the Farmers (Empowerment and Safety) Settlement on Worth Assurance and Farm Companies Act, 2020, and the Important Commodities (Modification) Act, 2020.
